Angela Evelyn Bassett is an American actress. She is known for her roles in TV and film since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards including two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was brought up in Winston-Salem North Carolina by her aunt, who was born to New York New York, is an acclaimed actor. The mother of Bassett had divorced from her father when she was approximately five. Her younger sister later relocated from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school and was a fan of John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's degree in African American and master's degrees (1983). In 1997, she married Courtney B. Vance who was a fellow actor. Qualification: B.A. BA. (Afro-American study) in the year 1980. The Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in the lead role of Ramonda in the action-adventure movie, i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
